Le Sigh. Or How I Made Excuses for Not Living Up to My Potential.

I'm crap at blogging, and I heartly apologize for that.

What I have for you is a new image in my header. Woo!

That is all.

PS: I still can't figure out why the f'ing thing resizes when I place the image behind the header text but doesn't when I use the header to replace the header text. Sigh.

Dangerously Cute. Stay Back.

Also, they found a rodent of unusual size.

That is all.

Booo.

Blueprint Magazine, a hipper, younger Martha Stewart Living, is ending its print run in February.

Boo!

That is all.

Jollies and Hoorays.

We have a reception venue!

Bless you, Till Midnight.

That is all.

Darjeeling Darling.

I love this shade of blue-green.

This is a lovely framed scene. Look at the symmetry and the space and the placement of the brothers. Look at the contrast between colorless suits and train car the color of marigolds.

Though, Anderson skipped many of his standard framing devices, like carefully fonted and titled shots, there was still an abundance of neat imagery. Look at the skull and cross bones on the snake box. I'm dying to paint one of my own.

This is a hideous picture, but this is the luggage made by Louis Vuitton for the film, and is covered in sequence numbers and jungle animal imagery. I want the carry on bags horribly, though I'm sure they'd cost somewhere in the vicinity of a Hyundai.

Bless you, Wes Anderson.

That is all.

Things I Noticed While Farming Music (not Bovines.)

I found two CDs that I think I'm going to buy.

Also, I added a clock. How very high tech of me. I'm hoping to do some tinkering around with the HTML of my blog soonish, but for now a proper timepiece will do.

That is all.

Readymade Gloriousness.

Something fantastic happened today. Glorious even.

While we waited for Reckless Records to value and buy my (dis)used CDs, we drove to Pulaski Park to check out the Renegade Craft Fair.

This is the second craft fair I've attended at Pulaski Park, which is a fantastic venue. Retro, summer-campy, beautiful.

From Skelly B on Flickr.

After chatting with the lovely representatives of ReadyMade Magazine, I found that they were offering subscriptions for a fee of just $5! Holy schmolies! Five bucks. That, my friends, is some holiday cheer. And it came with a free issue as well! Hoohah!

On the way home, Reckless called me, and offered a fair $100 for some old CDs.

That is all.

Happy Christmas Time.

OhMiGosh and Such.

Man, I am crap at keeping up on my blog.

Apologies.

In the interim, I have spent three weeks in scenic York, Pennsylvania, and then seven weeks in Richmond, Virginia. We moved from Grand Rapids to the South Shore neighborhood of Chicago. Dan started a new career and I transferred to a local project team. Dan got mugged. We moved again to the Sheffield neighborhood of Chicago (which borders on Lincoln Park (not Linkin Park, mind you.))

Regular updates shall abound henceforth.

In the mean while, take a gander at this.

That is all.

Like You're Surprised.

NerdTests.com says I'm a Slightly Dorky Nerd Queen. What are you? Click here!

Also, I am voraciously watching The Office. I still love Jim.

That is all.

JJ Abrams, His Gloriousness

Slashfilm reported that JJ Abrams has, in fact, signed on to do The Dark Tower series by Steven King. Hoohah. Be sure that it'll be confusing but awesome, and will be tied up by the seventh film.

Makes me wonder about Cloverfield. He's going to be busy.

That is all.

Holy Wa. The Wonders of Photoshop

I'm astonished by the celebrity portfolio of Iwanex Studio. Click on portfolio at the top, and you'll understand my astonishment. Via Faking Good Breeding.

I want all my photos to be retouched by these people.

That is all.
